Potted Potter

Toronto audiences fall under the spell of British comedy duo Dan and Jeff

Written and  performed by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner
Directed by Richard Hurst

Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience explores all seven Harry Potter books in 70 minutes. The parody is the brainchild of Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, best-known for their appearances on CBBC and Blue Peter (the pair were also nominated for the Best Entertainment Olivier Award earlier this year).

In the show, Jeff plays the straight-man narrator/Harry, while a cheeky Dan stars as every other character. Don’t expect authentic Potter set or costume design here: Ronald Weasley wears a bright orange clown wig, Lord Voldemort gets devil horns and a stuffed snake. Audiences can also expect hilarious story references, a controversial fire-breathing dragon and a highly entertaining interactive Quidditch match.

Harry Potter fans will not want to miss this fun-filled blast of comedy magic.

Potted Potter runs until March 25 at the Panasonic Theatre. Visit mirvish.com for more information and to buy tickets.
