About Us

Lauren Gillett and Kate Lorriman.

Lauren Gillett
Founding Publisher & Editor

Lauren is a twenty-something theatromaniac who’s been going to shows since she was a young girl. A digital media professional by day and theatregoer by night, she enjoys nothing more than a live performance. Lauren has too many favourite plays to mention, but her top two are Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. She is fascinated by theatre as a storytelling medium and hopes to write a play herself one day.

Kate Lorriman
Co-Founder

Kate is another twenty-something theatromaniac who has loved the theatre since she was seven years old. She grew up attending performances frequently, and enjoyed her annual family trips to Stratford in the summer. New York is her home away from home, where the lights of Broadway draw her to at least one show every visit. Kate always looks forward to theatre and arts festivals such as the Toronto Fringe Festival and SummerWorks. In fact, she saw her favourite play to date at the Fringe festival in 2009: Aurora Stewart De Peña’s 36 Little Plays About Hopeless Girls.

Lauren and Kate appreciate a wide variety of performance styles and genres. Together they form a dynamic duo, hamming it up in the cheap seats at a theatre near you.
